Nationals at Irvine

Congratulations to the nearly 2,500 swimmers who competed in the 2023 USMS Spring National Championship at the beautiful Woollett Aquatic Center in Irvine, California! 3 SACMA swimmers from our sister club, Rio del Oro, participated at Nationals, including Lynden De Shane, Casper Howland, and Jeff Shevlin. Each swam 4-5 races. Lynden scored third place in the 200 breaststroke which gave the team 8 points! Jeff said, "I swam my fastest times in the past three years, thanks to the Sac Masters coaches at Rio del Oro."

Lynden said, I didn't realize how much I missed [swimming] and how much healthier I am because of it. The community of Masters swimmers makes me want to continue until I'm hopefully 101 and still competing in Nationals."

Good job representing SACMA! Next year, Nationals will be in Indianapolis. Who wants to go?
