The conditions were good at Lake Del Valle for the annual Lake Del Valle Festival. Sunny, not too hot - and the water was about 73˚F
June 7th was a beautiful sunny 72˚ day at Lake Berryessa. Thirteen Sac Masters swimmers swam the 1 or 2 mile rate (some swam both!). The water was comfortable (also about 72˚) and the lake was very smooth, with only some slight choppiness at the far end of the race course. The only danger was in not applying enough sunscreen!
Thank you to Nikki Rashid and Chris Smith for making the arrangements for our winetasting and picnic area! We had a great time at Bogle Vineyards. We enjoyed beautiful yard, tasty wine, and good company. Coach Mark left before we took pictures. Let's go back soon!
We hiked a little over 5 miles on the Middle Fork American River Quarry trail on a drizzly day in April. We started our hike with a stop at Flour Garden Bakery in Auburn and carpooled to trailhead. It was a fun activity to be outside and get to know my fellow swimmers better. We ended our hike at The Station Public House for beer and good food. It was a great day!
