In April, SACMA hosted the Pacific Masters Short Course Championships at our pool. We received kudos for hosting a great meet. It was perfect weather. Thank you to the meet directors and the meet committee! Also, thank you to all the volunteers including the Officials. We could not have been successful without you.
We had a pizza party at Federalist Pizza in Midtown. We shared delicious pizza and great company!
We learned about laser cutting with metal and plywood. I love expanding my horizon with my fellow swimmers! Thank you to Dah and Joel at LightObject for organizing a fun event for the group.
What a lovely day at Bogle Winery! SACMA swimmers enjoyed wine, food, and each other's company. Thank you to Chris Smith and Nikki Rashid at Bogle Winery for arranging our picnic.
Kudos to our very own Coach Andy for being awarded the Kerry O'Brien Coaching Award 2024! Great to see your hard work is recognized by your peers nationally, not just here in Northern California. The award is given annually to a coach who displays passion, dedication, and heart on the pool deck and helps build membership in their swim community. We are proud of you for leading our team!
Congrats to all 14 SACMA swimmers who swam 2.7 miles across Donner Lake last Saturday. Weather and water temperture set the scene for a great day. I am impressed with everyone's finish times especially those who received a towel award. Monica Carter gets my honorable mention award. Special thanks for our cheer squad who supported us throughout the race. Go SACMA!
River Cats beat Round Rock Express 7-2! Erica caught a game ball! We enjoyed baseball, drinks, and food at Sutter Health Park. Go Sacramento River Cats!
