Annual Lake Natoma Open Water Event this past weekend was a success! We had over thirty swimmers swim from 1 up to 3.6 miles.Way to go Sac Masters! Thank you Andy for organizing the event. Special thank you to our volunteer kayakers and paddleboarders watching out for us! Also Big Thanks to Maggie Roepke for capturing the swim on camera!

Donner Lake is one of the most beautiful lakes I have swam in. The water temperature was 70 degrees! The race started at the East end and ended in the West end. Officially 2.7 miles at 5933 feet high. 10 swimmers represented SACMA. Congratulations to all the swimmers!

Big shout out to Marty Butler who participated in the 2022 World Police & Fire Games in Rotterdam, Netherlands.70 countries were in attendance. He swam the 50 and 100M Fly, 50 & 100M Breast, 200IM, and both 200 Free and Medley Relays. He brought home medals! Kudos Marty! Also, Congrats to Carol Goodbrake, Mary Buford, and Nick Barajas. The 3 of them put SACMA in 6th place out of 24 at the 2022 Pacific Masters Swimming LC Championships! Goooo Team!

Thank you Ramond and his fellow coaches for teaching Sac Masters swimmers how to play pickleball at this 5/27/22 social. It was a blast and we proved that swimmers can indeed play land sports, too!

“The North Natomas Community Center and Aquatics Complex is an asset to the Sacramento region giving our families more recreational opportunities,” said Vice Mayor Ashby, who represents the district. “Additionally, this project has generated over 1,000 local jobs, has contributed to the local economy, and will continue to provide long term employment to Sacramento.
